School Policies
1. Students are here to learn to sew.
We will do everything in our power to assist students in learning this valuable lifeskill. Students are responsible for coming to class ready with the specified materials and the "want to learn" attitude.
2. Make-up classes
There will be makeup class on the last Friday of the month at student's normal class time. It is the responsibility of the student and/or parent to schedule and attend make up class before the end of each month. (Other days can be possibly be arranged for - speak to intructor for available times)
3. Attendance
Attendance at class is very important. Please consider the other students and call if student will not be in class so that the other students will not waste class time waiting for your student. Also to see about scheduling the make -up class.
4. Payment for Registration & Tuition
Payment for registration is to be submitted before classes begin and to reserve a seat in the class. Cash, check, and money order are accepted forms of payment at this time. Registration /deposit is non-refundable. Tuition is a monthly commitment of $60. Class tuition is due and payable at the first class every month for that month. There is no prorating or rollover of tuition for missed classes. Speak with the instructor regarding make up of any missed classes.
5. New students
New students are welcome at the beginning of every month, whether registering for available seats in existing classes or starting a new class with 2-4 students. Registration and 1st month tuition would be due at the first class of that month. Then tuition only from that point on each month.
6. The Academy reserves the right to dismiss disruptive students that do not want to learn. It would not be fair to waste the class time of the other students who wish to learn.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available for classes, workbooks or videos. There is a form on the registry page to download and send with check for gift amount to the Academy. A gift card in envelope will be sent to you or to the student, your choice.

Just for Fun UFO Sewing Day - Bring in a UFO(Un Finished Object) and get help finishing that pesky project. (1-2 classes/4-5)
Basic quilt Piecing - learn to make pieced blocks to join into various sized quilts. (monthly / 3-6) $60 + fabrics & thread
Thread painting . use free-motion sewing to "paint" designs on your fabric (monthly / 3-6 ) $60 + fabrics & threads
Home Dec Projects - work on the decorating project you need help with. (monthly / 3-6) $60 + your project
Make It Fit! - Learn to adjust ready-made to fit you ... skirts or pants - (2-3 hour class +video / 3-6) $69.95
Help Me Use My Own Machine!! - 4 wks of classes learn to use the machine you already have (monthly / 3-4 ) $60 + your machine
